My Story...

I am excited to be on this journey of volunteering. I hope this blog encourages others to join in making a positive impact even if you have limited time. Partnering with my friend Arlene helps to keep me accountable in setting aside time each month to give back. I teach Kindergarten full time which keeps me very busy. Working with a class of five-year-olds all day is rewarding, yet exhausting. It is hard to believe I have been teaching for over thirty years. As a teacher, I am always looking for ways for my students to develop strong, healthy relationships. Volunteering will be a way for me to achieve that goal as well. I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend and my adult daughters. I like to ski, kayak, bike ride and play pickleball. I also enjoy reading - especially at the beach while on vacation. I am looking forward to seeing where this volunteering adventure takes me.
